Frequently Asked Questions
Are all letters handwritten?
Yes. Every letter is written entirely by hand by me, Clare. There is no printing, automation, or digital reproduction. Each piece is created slowly and thoughtfully to ensure it remains personal and unique.
Can I choose the wording of my letter?
You are welcome to provide your own wording, or to share guidance on tone and sentiment. Each commission is written with care and discretion, allowing your message to be expressed naturally and with intention.
Is there a limit on the length of a letter?
Each letter includes a set number of characters. Should you have more to say, additional characters can be added to allow the message the space it needs, without compromise.
What materials are used?
All letters are written on carefully chosen stationery using archival ink. Materials are selected for their quality, feel, and longevity, ensuring each piece is designed to be kept.
Do you offer wax seals?
Yes. Wax seals are available in a range of colours and designs, applied by hand as a final finishing touch to your letter.
Are gift boxes available?
Gift boxes are available for both scrolls and shorter letters. Each box is finished with matching tissue paper and ribbon, chosen to complement the wax seal and enhance the overall presentation.
How long does it take to receive my letter?
As each piece is written by hand, time is an essential part of the process. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout, allowing space for careful craftsmanship.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Handwritten Letters ships both within the UK and internationally. Delivery options are shown at checkout.
Is my message kept private?
Absolutely. All commissions are treated with complete discretion. Your words remain private and are never shared.
Can letters be kept as keepsakes?
Every letter is created with longevity in mind. These are pieces designed to be kept, revisited, and treasured over time.
